[ausev] Gas companies

I felt McCain or Obama,.. Democrat or Republican, either way they would have
been bought out by the gas companies. I feel that W. Bush was bought out. I
don't have any proof for any of this, so I realize that my gut feeling is
not one to be relied upon. I was just concerned that since the prices went
down just before the election: maybe the car companies were worried that a
new honest president may come on board and see that the Gas companies are
price gouging and reveal the scandal. ( all this may be way off of the
truth) I worry that corporations have become too strong for the government
in this nation. I worry that the government is scratching the corporation's
backs for election support. I was concerned that either runner cannot deal
with the power that the gas companies have. Maybe I am giving too much power
to the gas companies,... Maybe I am not giving enough credit to the U.S.
government. I don't know. But if the gas prices just go back to where they
were ($5/gal) then I will be very weary of all of them!! My concern came for
hearing about the gas companies saying that they are going to slow
production because there is not as much demand (this means higher prices for
us). It just sounds like they can do what ever they want to the price of gas
just because they can.
Jim
P.S. I am rooting for our new leader,...
