[ausev] connectors

Hi,
This question is about connectors, mainly for signalling, but also for power. What I would like to know is if there is any common type of connector or set of connectors that are typically used in the EV application. First of all, I know that for the high current connections, the anderson's are used and I plan to do that. But I also have a fair number of signals that are going through the firewall and other places and I am just wondering if there is any "best" kind of connector to use. When I go to digikey or mouser or some place like that, the number of choices available is baffling. I mean, I can go through the filters and narrow down a connector that appears to meet my need. For example some of the rectangular molex plastic connectors. And sort of arbitrarily pick something like that. But I think this problem must have been solved many times before and thought I would ask the list if there is any "best" connector.
By way of example, here is some of the kinds of signals I am talking about: buzzer from low voltage cutoff, switch to apply throttle limit to pot, motor temp limit switch signal to dash "engine" light, etc.
Thanks,
Joe Kroesche
